Shelley

Active selection in cart:
Shelley. On 8 July 1822, against the advice of the local inhabitants, Shelley set out in his small boat for a sail. The expected storm blew up, the boat foundered, and Shelley, who could not swim, was never seen alive again. Eight days later his body was washed up on the beach – he was identified by a book of poetry in his pocket. Original artwork for illustration on p23 of Look and Learn issue no 951 (12 April 1980).
