Allegorical and sacred subjects, and hermits
|Caption||Allegorical and sacred subjects, and hermits. Drawings, ca 1740. Fols 86v and 87v bear artist's name "Franciscus Aspruck deline" (87v) and "Fus Aspruck" (86v, some letters indistinct), apparently referring to Franz Aspruck: an artist of this name is recorded as having been born in Brussels ca 1570/1580 and having worked as a draughtsman, goldsmith etc. in Augsburg until at least 1604. The present drawing might be after designs by that Aspruck, or executed by a different, later, artist of the same name. Work ID: zjhwn7hu.|
