According to one of many tales concerning Rama, during a ritual ceremony of horse sacrifice, Rama is stopped by his banished sons, Lava and Kusa. After they have defeated their uncles and Hanuman, an enraged Rama goes to fight them, only then does he recognise his offspring Rama reluctantly banished his beloved wife Sita after her abduction by Ravnana, even though she had proved her purity and was pregnant with his sons.
