Invoice for weaving and the hiring of an enslaved woman, Philice

This handwritten, single page document is an accounting for money due J Taylor by Mrs Apphia Rouzee for weaving services and the hiring of an enslaved woman, Philice. The accounting itemizes weaving of pieces of cloth, a blanket furnished to "your girl," and the hiring of Philice, for the years 1805, 1806, and 1807. On the reverse is written, "A/C Mrs A Rouzee with Jesse Taylor." Both sides are written in black ink. Date: 1800s. Record ID: nmaahc_2011.104.68.
