Beginning in 1758, Drake had his country house remodelled in the Neoclassical style after a design by the eminent Scottish architect Robert Adam. The renovation took some time; only around 1775 were two of these pier tables and mirrors for the large sitting room delivered by the London firm of cabinetmakers Linnell. Origin: London. Date: c 1775. Object ID: BK-1959-87-A. |
