Caption | Museum of Natural History, New York City. Founded in 1869 as a museum and library of natural history, the American Museum of Natural History is located at 77th Street and Central Park West. Its interesting exhibits include numerous animal and bird groups, skeletons of prehistoric monsters, material from Peru and Mexico, and beautiful and valuable collections of jades, ivories, guns and amber.
