L’Amour désarmé (2e planche)

Active selection in cart:
L’Amour désarmé (2e planche). Venus sits on a mound of grass, naked from her waist up. A drapery slides along her right shoulder. Her black hair is pulled back with a ribbon. With her left hand she raises her son's bow and amuses him by defying him. Cupid is seen from behind. He is naked, winged and he crawls on his knees to her and seems to be begging her to surrender his weapon. In the background left, there are grassy slopes crowned with trees. Artist: Fantin-Latour, Henri, 1836-1904. Date: 1892. Sourced from Digital Commonwealth website.
