Caption | Manchester. On the 3rd April, 1872, Mr Disraeli paid his famous visit to Manchester, and addressed a crowded audience in a speech which was doubtless one of his finest efforts of even his masterly elocution. All classes vied in cordiality of their welcome to the Conservative leader, and his visit to Cottonopolis was unquestionably one of his greatest of the many triumphs of his career. No 16. 10th April, 1872. |
