Caption | To preserve paint brushes. When the painting is finished the care of the brush is a most important factor. The brush must be carefully scraped and cleared of paint on the side of the pot, then squeezed between a cloth in the hand, after this it should be kept in a jar of water, there being just enough water to cover the hairs.
