When Arbroath beat Bon Accord in a Scottish Cup match in September 1885, they recorded the highest ever score in British soccer. The score was 36-0. Arbroath Football Club (The Red Lichties) still play, but Bon Accord, an Aberdeen club, no longer exists. The Arbroath centre forward John Petrie scored 13 goals in the match.
