Women's protest for right of vote
Active selection in cart:
Caption | The picture shows a protest in the early 20th century led by women seeking right to vote. The battle for votes for women took about 25 years. When women were first given the vote, in 1918, they could only vote if they were over 30 and either married, householders, or university graduates. It was not until 1928 that they could vote on the same basis as men – when they turned 21. |
