Ship to Massachusetts

Active selection:
From an English port in 1620 there sailed a little ship in which were more than 100 persons. Members of a religious sect, they belonged to a Church that had been founded in Leyden, in Holland. Their small vessel headed out into the mighty Atlantic Ocean to take its dedicated passengers thousands of miles to a new world. The Pilgrims planned to found a colony on the New Jersey coast on land that had been given to them. Bad weather forced them to land on the coast of Massachusetts, where they set up the Plymouth Colony, naming it after the port they had sailed from in England.
