Laxey Wheel

The Laxey Wheel which is 22 metres across was built in 1854 to pump water from the shafts of the Laxey zinc, lead, silver and copper mine. It is almost entirely made of wood. Today it is maintained as a tourist attraction by Manx National Heritage in Isle of Man.
