(1) During the dynasty of Ch'in, under emperor Shih Huang Ti, the feudal states gave way to central government; organised by assistants to the Emeror such as the Mandarin of Letters pictured; (2) Shih Huang Ti was responsible for the building of the Great Wall of China; (3) Lui Pang, founder of the Han dynasty, emerged victorious from the insurrections following Shih Huang Ti's death; (4) The conquest of the Kansu region opened up trading routes to Europe known as "The Silken Way"; (5) Chinese warriors; (6) After the collapse of the Han Dynasty, it was 350 years before China came under one ruler again.
