Captain William Bligh

Active selection in cart:
Captain William Bligh. The Admiralty ordered Captain Bligh to sail the Bounty half-way across the world to collect bread-fruit for the West Indies. It was a voyage which was to end in mutiny. The mutineers burst into Bligh's cabin and took him roughly on deck. Soon he would be cast adrift – to be saved from a certain death by his exceptional seamanship. Original artwork for illustration on pp8–9 of Look and Learn issue no 864 (5 August 1978).
