Caption | Colonel Robert Blake. His last battle was fought against the Spanish in the Canary Islands. His little fleet escaped almost unscathed, while the wrecks of the Spanish galleons littered the harbour at Santa Cruz. Sorely wounded in the conflict, Blake was to die before reaching home.
