Sue Carter

Sue Carter

Sue Carter is a globe-spanning teenage girl who travels to various parts of the world with members of her family (parents, Uncle Bob, brother Tim) and becomes embroiled in local intrigues, whether it's a kidnapped daughter of a Sheik in Algiers, a lost treasure in Egypt, finding the missing parents of a family in Asia or searching for a missing explorer in the Arctic.

Sue was a young adventuress of a kind that was popular back in the 1950s but which seemed to fade out in the 1960s not through lack of popularity but because of cheap reprints of Enid Blyton (Famous Five, Secret Seven) and Stratmeyer Syndicate properties like Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys.
