Sonny and Sally
Sonny and Sally are a brother and sister who live in Happy Valley with their mummy and daddy and a lamb named Pet. Pet the lamb often leads them into trouble as he goes off to play with other animals, disappears to take a drink or clumsily knocks something over. Not that Sonny and Sally aren't occasionally as clumsy themselves – they may be well-behaved youngsters but they're prone to all the usual scuffs, scrapes and mud-stains all children pick up – but the day always ends with a smile.
Sonny and Sally also wrote a weekly letter to readers of Playhour for many years and even signed replies to letters sent to the editor of the paper.
