The Smith Family Album
The Smiths are a modern family of two adults and two children but their exploits date back centuries as their family picture album reveals how their ancestors and distant relatives coped with the same problems as any modern family. Take education, for instance: the stone age Daddy Smith taught John and Mary simple sums using a dinosaur as a blackboard; and in the middle ages they learned by counting fruit – although the numbers got simpler as the fruit disappeared into the children. The Smith Family Album explains how Smiths of the past have discovered everything from mirrors and dinner plates to agriculture and how to keep cool in the hot weather.
