Peter Puffin
Peter Puffin is the friend of all the other characters who appeared in Harold Hare's Own Paper and spent much of his time answering their questions and explaining the workings of the world in his own unique way. He has an answer to any question you care to ask, whether it is why we sit at tables to eat our food, why people wear bathing costumes, why cars need engines to make them go, or why people use lawn-mowers on their lawns. There's always a logic to Peter's answers and you can guarantee that the alternatives he offers are always amusing.
