Max Bravo, the Happy Hussar
Max Bravo was a young trooper in the 9th Hussars of the French army serving under General Napoleon Bonaparte. Tricked into signing up, from the moment he arrives at Grenoble Barracks, Max falls foul of the rascally Troop-Sergeant-Major Slashtrap and finds himself with ten days in the cells on bread and water. However, as the hussars are pitted against the Austrians in Italy and further campaigns in Egypt, Max proves himself a fine soldier and becomes a favourite of Bonaparte himself.
