Mademoiselle de Sombreuil (1774–1823), French Revolution. The daughter of the Governor of Les Invalides, she was imprisoned with him in 1792. During the September Massacres she prevented the mob from killing her father and obtained his freedom by drinking a glass of blood. French educational card, early 20th century.
