Fire King; Monsieur Chabert, a French entertainer, exhibited at the Argyll Rooms, Regent Street, London, in 1830; one of his feats was to enter an oven at 600 degrees heat; the Argyll Rooms were consumed by fire on 12 February 1830, the accident attributed to some to the Fire King's oven; published 20 November 1829.
