Beatrix Potter

Active selection in cart:
Beatrix Potter – A Prisoner of Privilege. For Beatrix and her young brother, a house in the country opened up a whole new world. Instead of London streets and squares there were hedges and flowers and pigs and cattle. In place of impersonal rows of brick buildings there were little farmhouse and cottages where people worked at tasks such as baking bread, feeding chickens and making butter. Original artwork for the illustrations on p10 of L&L issue no.959 (26 July 1980).
