Halley enquiring of Newton. The astronomer Edmond Halley was puzzled by the movements of the planets around the Sun. He went to see Newton – and discovered that he had solved the problem years before. At the top is a picture of the Greenwich Observatory, designed by Sir Christopher Wren.
