11 August marks the anniversary of the death of Andrew Carnegie in 1919. Carnegie was a Scottish-American businessman, entrepreneur and philanthropist, born in 1835. After making his money in steel industry but his fame rests on his philanthropic activities, establishing museums, libraries and encouraging scientific research, education and world peace.
