The best pictures of Garter Stall Plates at Windsor are all wonderful heraldic evocations of the great Age of Chivalry and especially the Knights of the Garter, the famous Order founded by Edward III.
The first picture is the Stall Plate of Sir John Mowbray, earl of Surrey and Warenne, duke of Norfolk.
The second picture is the Stall Plate of Sir Richard Plantagenet, duke of Gloucester (Richard III), 1465-1483.
