Prizes
The best three competition entries in each age group (0-7, 8-11, and 12-18) feature in the winners’ gallery and on the home page, and winners receive personalised certificates and cash prizes totalling at least £240 (approximately US$480):

Entries should relate closely to the competition theme, allowing for a degree of imaginative interpretation.

Posting entries for competitions
We can accept monthly themed competition entries by post (but not general gallery entries). Please:
- Read the rules pertaining to competition entries submitted by post.
- Write on the back of the picture the entrant’s name and ‘Z number’ (Entrant ID), and the month and theme of the competition.
- Pack the artwork carefully, for example in a cardboard tube or re-enforced envelope and send to:

Postal submissions will normally be processed within two weeks of receipt.
Terms and conditions
Please refer to the rules of entry and our privacy policy. Please note in particular:
- Only one entry per child will be accepted for each month's competition.
- Winners will be notified within ten days of the closing date.
- Prize money will be sent by UK cheque or Western Union, according to each winner's preference.
Special contests
From time to time we hold additional contests with prizes for children, parents/guardians and teachers.
